I’ve recently incorporated more and more live raw enzyme rich foods into my diet.  Live foods are pure energy, and eating abundant amounts of fruit in the morning is packed with fiber, vitamins, minerals, and surprisingly protein too!  I never believed that fruit contained protein until I started using CRON-O-Meter which I first wrote about here.

I make a smoothie almost every day using organic fruit, and feel a big difference when I don't.  Currently my smoothies always consists of bananas simply because they are an inexpensive fruit and create the smooth consistency that I love.  If you like cold smoothies, peeling and freezing bananas will create a delicious morning drink.

You will notice that this current smoothie isn't wimpy, and yes I drink all of it myself.  On days that I take dance classes I like to make another smoothie upon my return, and also I like to add a serving of hemp seeds or hemp powder to this smoothie recipe which increases all of the nutrients immensely.  I've also added green powders for additional nutrients.

When you are eating whole organic foods, you are no longer starving your body of the nutrients that it needs to operate well.  Nutrients equal energy, and it's like putting the best fuel into your body as most of us try to do with our cars.  Check out the vitamin, mineral, and nutrient values of this smoothie below which I plugged into my CRON-O-Meter account for you to see.

Usually when someone finds out that I am eating this much fruit in the morning there is the thought that it is way too much sugar.  If that is exactly what you are thinking then read this article on why sugar is the real enemy, and why fruit may not apply to this.  If you currently eat a lot of processed foods it will take time for your body to detox, and become accustomed to high amounts of nutrient dense foods.  Have a great weekend!
