“Electric” Alkaline Foods VS Hybrid Foods

May 20, 2016 by Dawn Michelle

I am constantly doing research to gain information about truly healing my body.  The appearance of health may be the goal for some, yet actually thriving has always been my own goal.  We know that an alkaline diet creates health within the body, therefore removing all acidic, mucus forming, and man made foods seems like the best approach.  We’ve also heard “you are what you eat”, but what if some of these “natural” foods we’ve been eating are also man made?  I’m not talking about processed foods, or GMO food versus organic food, I’m talking about artificial hybridization.

So many people are sick with “incurable” diseases, and modern medicine isn’t actually healing anyone.

If you want a treatment to pacify symptoms, then modern medicine is the way to go.  Isn’t it much easier taking medications than changing how you eat or your lifestyle anyway?  Over time synthetic medications slowly deteriorate the body from the inside out, are addictive, and keep your hard earned money circulating in the pharmaceutical industry.  If you want to actually heal your body, you need more information.  Paying attention to what you eat and how the food is prepared is the most important step.

It’s so funny to me how attached we are to certain foods, yet we should be eating to live not the other way around.

I believe that eating alkaline food is the determining factor to health, not supplements and exercise alone.  The three components to truly life giving foods are carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen.  These three components naturally create alkaline “electric” foods as Dr. Sebi a world renown herbalist refers to them.

I was looking at iridology charts last week while noticing some of the color variations in my own eyes.  My green eyes have always had an orange ring around the pupil.  Iridology states that an orange ring around the pupil is an indicator of a difficulty digesting starch.  Starch isn’t a natural food and is actually man made.  After that discovery, it made perfect sense why my body had issues digesting starch.

Hybrid foods do not contain a naturally occurring molecular structure, and instead are high in sugar and starch.

Artificial hybridization is creating a new plant from two or more wild plant species in nature.  Starch is used to bind the spliced genes of two natural plants together to form a hybrid plant.  Artificial hybridization has been occurring since ancient times, yet that doesn’t make them necessarily the best foods to eat biologically.

The more foreign substances inside our body, the more mucus our body creates to protect us.  Yet when we fill our body with nothing but foreign foods this can get out of hand.  Excessive mucus in the body is the primary cause of all illness and disease.  Processed foods, genetically modified foods, pesticide laden foods, and hybrid foods do not allow the body to thrive as they are biologically incomplete and/or contain toxins.

A few common hybrid foods include seedless fruits, grapefruit, cabbage, beets, carrots, corn, potatoes, celery, cauliflower, rice, wheat, soy, wheatgrass, most beans, comfrey, garlic, peppermint, and aloe vera.

Definitely do more of your own research.  It’s all about asking the right questions.  It’s formulating the questions that can be challenging at times though.  I’m making many changes on my healing journey and will share any other discoveries along the way.  Whether you remove hybrid foods from your diet or not, knowledge always is power.  Eating as many whole organic foods is still better than processed genetically modified foods any day though.

Healing the body from the inside out manifests more beauty than any cosmetic can create.

One Love!

Would love to see your sources that form the basis of your opinion, particularly the comment about starch being man-made. Thanks!

      Hi Natalie Cajic,
I’ve added sources to the article. Also there are natural forms of starch that are created in plants as well as modified starches. “A modified starch is a starch that has been chemically modified to allow the starch to function properly under conditions frequently encountered during processing or storage, such as high heat, high shear, low pH, freeze/thaw and cooling. The modified food starches are E coded according to the International Numbering System for food additives (INS).” More info here. Enjoy your day!

I think I need a food journal to record different reactions to foods. I’ve noticed that some foods consistently produce the same symptoms.
Thanks for listing the hybrid foods.

      Hi Sandy,
Food journals really help with discovering what is working best for your body. They can seem like a lot in the beginning but I have found them to be helpful. It isn’t something you have to do forever though. Thanks for your comment!

I love your blog and all the information you share! But I do need to suggest caution regarding iridology. The idea is intriguing but without merit. While in chiropractic college, I came upon a study designed to test how accurate iridologists are. The study presented people with known medical conditions/diseases to a group of iridologists and asked them to pick out the “sick” people. They batted zero percent accuracy. One could have guessed better! I strongly urge a different method of self diagnosis!

      Hi Barbara,
I think merit can be seen in different ways. I always feel it is better to listen to your intuition versus trusting merit alone. When they are both in alignment with each other, then it’s a big plus. Otherwise I always go with my intuition over merit if they conflict. Everyone will feel differently with this. Thanks for your comment!

hello dawn would you so happen to know about how you can maintain the weight you already have? Now I’m not out of shape or under or over weight I just want to know how do I maintain a little fluff even when eating these electric foods because I too am extremely familiar with Dr. Sebi and his very informing nutrition factors but I’ve just always wanted to know How do I strengthen my weakness and frail looking body that I turn into when Eating those foods because I’ve done it once recently but I eventually went back to starches and meat. I can most definitely let the both of them go with no problem its just I want to know how I maintain my thickness hope this doesn’t seem like to much it sounds weird if so feel free to tell me lol.

Dawn I am interested into knowing what changes you have currently decided to make since you’ve discovered all that informing information from the infamous Dr. Sebi because I have watched his videos and too been on his site.

      Hi Aladrin Brundage,
Everyone’s body is different. For me the best way to maintain my strength is to always be in dance classes and do yoga. Working out maintains strength. When I’ve shared how I’ve been eating lately I’ve also shared the nutritional breakdown from Cronometer. You can see an example of this here. Many times when people transition to a vegetarian/vegan lifestyle they either eat a lot of processed vegetarian/vegan foods and they don’t eat enough live nutrition or enough in general. Using Cronometer helps a lot. As for changes I first plan to try and eliminate hybrid foods from my diet. I hope this helps!

I’d like to ask you what particular foods you were referring to when you say that starch is man made? Starch is a carbohydrate and a natural component of many foods – rice, wheat, and tubers like potatoes are well known ones but there are so many more – beans, lentils and many more. Most plants store their energy as starch. Just curious as to what you were referring to. Lone your blog.

Motherhood is intensely challenging, beyond humbling, and at times you just want the day to be over then realizing that you’ll be back at it the next day. Fenugreek seeds, also called methi seeds, have a m Fenugreek seeds, also called methi seeds, have a multitude of medicinal properties along with being a prominent spice in many cultural dishes. For starters, fenugreek seeds are packed with protein for strengthening strands, mucilage for moisturizing and soothing the scalp while detangling the hair, and most importantly nicotinic acid which may minimize hair shedding while soothing scalp issues. Fenugreek seeds are also anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal which is beneficial for soothing a dry irritated scalp as well as high in iron. 🍂

These little seeds are a win win for natural hair care and can be used in various ways. I’ve used fenugreek seeds in my beauty regimen on and off for years. Today I wanted to share four easy ways you can incorporate fenugreek in your hair regimen to promote healthy hair growth. The link is in the profile. 🍂

God is so good! We move on FRIDAY. This picture God is so good! We move on FRIDAY. This picture was taken before they removed the bricking which was VERY NOISY to say the least. We haven’t been completely able to avoid the beginning of the construction process, but I honestly think it’s a good thing. This way we can remain GRATEFUL throughout the entire process. GRATITUDE during LIFE’S IMPERFECTION develops CONTENTMENT. That is one thing I work on daily. If you missed our “We’re Moving Again” testimony it’s on the blog. 🌿🍁🍃

Friday mornings are my busiest mornings of the wee Friday mornings are my busiest mornings of the week. I make muffins for Saturday’s breakfast (either corn bread, pumpkin, or banana bread muffins) to have with fruit, a big crockpot dinner for the weekend (beans & rice bowls, lentils and sweet potato stews, or a big veggie and red potato stew) to serve with bread, tortillas, grains, and/or salad depending on the dish, and I’m usually putting orders together to go out for @iamazuha today too. All the while I’m also making other food for the day. 🍂🥧🍁

Friday’s are crazy because of the usual responsibilities, but mainly because I really want to relax a bit over the weekend. Over this past year I’ve worked really hard to create systems to make working from home and being a homemaker easier. Homemaking really is like running a small boutique bed and breakfast hotel. It takes planning ahead, having a solid system, financial planning, commitment, and a lot of love. I’ve been learning to really enjoy this process. Just like everybody else I’ve been baking more this year than ever. Very rewarding. 🍂🥧🍁

Wishing all of you a beautiful and blessed weekend!

We could all use an IMMUNE BOOST right now. Here’s a simple juice recipe that I make for just that. I call it SPICY APPLE JUICE and my three (almost four) year old drinks it up no problem! 🍎

I simply juice 2 WHOLE medium/large APPLES (3 small apples pictured) + 3 CLOVES of GARLIC in a slow masticating juicer for one immune boosting serving. Yes I do include the core as it has many health benefits. 🍎

After having my 1st official winter back on the east coast last year, RAW GARLIC was how I made it through without getting sick at all while caring for sick family members. 🍎

Since then I juice garlic in many of my juice recipes or mince up multiple cloves as dinner toppings for chickpea pasta, beans and rice bowls, and stews. What I LOVE most of all is hearing my son say, “More Juice?” Proud Mama!!!! 🍎

I started wearing linen clothing because it’s ex I started wearing linen clothing because it’s extremely practical. Linen is one of the most environmentally friendly fabrics on the market. Linen is also considered the world’s strongest natural fabric. After tiring of purchasing new clothing every season for my heavily worn small capsule wardrobe, it just made sense to look for mid and heavy weight linen garments that could be worn year round and layered that actually lasted.
🍃

Linen clothing can last up to 2-3 decades if properly cared for. I’ve made some mistakes along the way, but have finally found a simple method for caring for my linen garments. (Link in profile.)
