I sometimes wonder why we short change ourselves in life. I’ve watched myself do this in the past more often than I’d like to admit. I deserve to experience and have the best of everything that I truly desire in my heart, and so do you!
What is your true heart’s desire?
Before getting clear on my dreams, I’d think that doing a specific job with a famous artist would bring me the prosperity and excitement that I’ve always dreamed of. I’d also believe that a specific dress or pair of shoes would make me feel so beautiful and stylish that I’d fall in love with myself and my flaws. I’ve had the job, the dress, and the shoes and found that my initial belief was miles from my truth.
To be completely honest I am a perfectly imperfect work in progress. I sometimes am not always very clear on what I want to bring into my life. Yet I know that it is impossible to experience the best of everything when you do not even know what that is. Writing down what I truly desire is always a big help. I write “I am so happy and grateful now that… ” then I fill in the blank with as much detail as I can think of. I write this statement for each desire. Creating a vision board is also a very powerful tool for manifesting the life you’ve always dreamed of.
Peace, Love & Self Acceptance
The best of everything actually begins with the feeling of worthiness to have good in our lives, not looking outside of ourselves for approval and acceptance, and not defining ourselves based on what we own or how much money we make. We are ALL so much more than that! The best of everything is and has always been the peace and love in our heart.
Without knowing true peace, love and self acceptance myself, no matter what amazing job I’ve booked, how much money I was making, or what clothing was in my closet, I never understood true joy and happiness. I have worked with a lot of wealthy and famous people to know that materialism and fame alone does not bring lasting joy to anyone. It just took me some time to really understand that for myself.
The best of everything has nothing to do with our outer circumstances. Without self love and acceptance the best of everything means nothing. No job, amount of money, or type of personal possession defines our true worth. Our true worth is not defined by man’s definitions. These type of thoughts have immensely shifted my definition of abundance.
My Definition of Abundance
Abundance is doing exactly what I love everyday and getting paid well for it. I also value my time over money. You can always make more money, but you can never make more time.
The best of everything has translated into sharing my gifts with the world unabashed and without fear of what others will think of me. People will always have their own opinions and that really is none of my business. Not worrying what others think is a major freedom.
I know that my abundance and prosperity actually lies in doing my life purpose, not specifically just “any” job that pays the bills. This is my new definition of success. Redefining success based on what is in your heart along with your life purpose versus what society tells us success needs to look like is sovereignty.
Abundance & Materialism
With this abundance consciousness I am then able to enjoy the best quality of things that I can afford to buy with cash, and purchase them or whatever else I need without guilt or feelings of unworthiness. Instead I feel a sincere feeling of gratitude for the ability to purchase what I need while swiping my debit card or handing over “the green”. I also no longer keep things that are worn out or that I no longer absolutely love. Decluttering allows me to make space for the good that I want to bring into my life. I really don’t need lots of things to enjoy my life, yet I love having the best quality of fewer items I enjoy.
Living with less is healing in so many ways, and it makes you feel lighter too. It saves time and allows more clarity because you are not distracted with clutter. You raise the bar on what you bring into your life therefore having more money to spend on only those things that you are crazy in love with.
We are worthy of the best of everything our hearts can dream of, and this most definitely includes loving, fun filled, and joyous relationships of every kind. Healthy relationships are also a form of abundance. Surrounding myself with radiant supportive friends is more valuable to me than being the life of the party. I’d also rather spend time alone than feel the energetic weight of naysayers. Being surrounded with loving energy also heightens your manifestation abilities.
There is more than enough!
The best of everything may actually be or look much different than you can dream up for your own life. That’s when faith and knowing the unlimited nature of the universe becomes a part of the picture. It will also differ for each person, which is why there is more than enough for everyone. There is no such thing as lack or limitation except what we believe for ourselves. Let’s get out of our own way!
