My idea of a serene bedroom is free of clutter, has calming colors, and no major electronics as I desire it to be a place solely to relax and sleep after a long day.  Here are some photos of the bedroom in our new one bedroom bungalow apartment.  There are a few special touches that we would like to add like a unique bed cover, yet for now we couldn't be happier.

This room is much larger than our previous place, and we also recently got a platform bed.  I used wall art for our "headboard."  It keeps the room extremely open and I love that the birds give a sense of freedom. We have one large piece of artwork which is on the wall across from our bed.  It’s a canvas wall hanging which compliments our nature theme.

This corner table is the only piece of furniture in our place that serves as decor only.  It’s one of my favorite pieces. I'd like to say that I have a green thumb, yet our two plants from our previous apartment didn't survive.  I'm hoping to do a much better job caring for these two plants and look forward to watching them grow.

This over-the-door hanger makes a great  accessory organizer.  I can always find my go-to scarf and chunky beaded necklaces.  I couldn't decide where to hang my dream catcher so this seemed like the perfect place for now.

Overall we have come a long way with decorating our simple home.  I’m so grateful that we have adequate closet space so my linens are no longer contained in a basket. I will be sharing more of our home, like the details that have evolved in our living room, as well as any other fun decor.  I hope you all have a beautiful weekend!
