This simple updo was created by literally tying my chunky twisted hair in a knot, gently of course, then tucking away the ends. Lately I’ve been keeping my hair in six sections (three on each side) for detangling then twisting or braiding up the section. This has been another very easy setting method for my curls for a braid or twist out style, yet lately I’ve been wearing my hair up much more than I normally do.
I have three twists on each side of my hair. Then I create a knot tying the two twists which are side by side together. I use hairpins to secure each knot into place. This style is very similar to updos I have seen women do with locs or tiny individual braids.
I love that this hairstyle looks much more complicated than it really is, plus it’s a bit funky and elegant at the same time. Peace <3
