If we had only had these two pieces in the living room of our old apartment there would have been enough space to host yoga classes or even small dance rehearsals! Sometimes you really are unable to truly see the beauty in any room until you get rid of some things. After downsizing on so much living room furniture, it is nice to maximize what we have now.
The “new” couch was a fabulous Craigslist find, and our bookshelf now serves as a true media center with the flat screen TV.
I purchased two new throw pillows that tie in with my creative wall art for an added boost of color. I still have a few more pictures to hang, a kitchen shelf that needs sanding, and closet organizing to do since my husband and I are now sharing it. The process continues and I feel so grateful for our new home.
I’m also looking forward to having Internet at home so I will no longer be blogging on my iPhone. Internet cafes are cute in the morning, yet not so much after having a long day. I hope to finish another upcycled fashion piece to share on Friday!
So excited!

Hi Cathy, My husband actually picked out that pillow. You can also see it in our old apartment in this article. It is seriously cute!

I love this sofa(what a find…) The pillows really give it that punch of color and blend beautifully with the art.
That’s a good idea for a TV stand…
Don’t you just love furniture that has multiple uses?
Enjoying your decorating project…<3
