I use oil cleansing to remove makeup. Using oil as a makeup remover is the easiest method, and I have done it this way for years. I have also tried the oil cleansing method with a castor oil mix for combination skin as a primary way to cleanse skin, but believe that it clogged my pores over time no matter how many times I steamed my skin and wiped the oil away with a warm cloth. I feel castor oil is too heavy for the skin as a cleanser.
Now I always cleanse the skin after removing my makeup with rhassoul clay or another cleanser. My favorite oil to use as a makeup remover is jojoba oil. I simply massage my face with oil, then take a wash cloth rung out with warm to hot water and gently wipe off the oil. I then cleanse and moisturize. This is a simple effective way to remove makeup and dirt without drying out or irritating delicate skin. It will easily remove even mascara.
