My Experience with Estroblock Pro for Acne

July 14, 2015 by Dawn Michelle

My experience with Estroblock Pro has been very simple and effective.  I no longer have hormonal acne from stress, nor do I breakout around my monthly feminine cycle.  I started using this supplement in February 2014 and I haven’t looked back.  I used to have cystic acne in the middle of my chin that would flare up during extremely stressful times in my life.  This cystic acne would create unsightly dark scars and hyperpigmentation.

Over the time that I’ve been taking Estroblock Pro these scars have had a chance to heal as no new acne has been present in this area at all.  Hormonal acne usually flares up along the chin, mouth, and jaw area.  Only using high linoleic oils for my skin has also had a tremendous effect on not having breakouts too, yet I’m sure that Estroblock Pro kept the hormonal acne completely under control.

Estroblock Pro is a powerful DIM (dinodolymethane) supplement containing vitamin E and wasabi root powder which creates hormonal balance, weight management, while also targeting and healing acne.  It is free of soy, lecithin, milk/dairy/casein, sugar, artificial coloring, gluten, and preservatives.  One of DIM’s main functions in the body is to rid the body of plastic leaching chemicals referred to as “bad estrogens” which are extremely common in modern society through constant contact with plastic.

We have plastic encased food and water, plastic ingredients such as polymers and copolymers in beauty products, as well as plastic PVC clothing, shoes, and accessories.  Hormonal birth control and hormone injected meats and animal products also increase hormonal imbalance in the body.  I honestly feel that the increase in “bad estrogens” in society is one of the culprits of adult acne along with other health imbalances.

The challenge is not only getting rid of these “bad estrogens” from the body with a supplement, but also doing your very best to minimize the amount of plastic in your daily life.  Plastic isn’t completely avoidable, yet it is possible to greatly minimize it in your daily life.  You can find other articles on striving to live plastic-free here.

Estroblock Pro strives to create hormonal balance in the body in a natural way.  Read more skin care related articles here!

You can order Estroblock Pro through Amazon which I linked above. Otherwise look for a high quality DIM supplement. I personally had great success with this one. Thanks for the compliment and best wishes!

Have you tried saw palmetto for hormonal acne? I used Estroblock for awhile and found it effective. I am experiencing some hair loss on my head and hair growth on my chin. This with hormonal acne. I am trying saw palmetto right now to see if it can help. I read that it is helpful for these issues. I found that Estroblock alone was not helpful with my hair issue.

I haven’t tried saw palmetto. Estroblock is really amazing though. Our hair is the last thing to get nutrients from our food so eating a whole foods organic diet would help your overall health and hair. More on that here.

    Hi Dawn,

Love your blog! I recently started on DIM for my hormonal acne and its definitely helping already just in the week! I was curious however as to how many you take per day? I am currently just taking one however on the bottle it says 1-4 a day. Should I try a month on just 1 pill a day and than move up to two if i feel necessary? Thanks!

      Hi Malia,
As with any supplement I believe you should take it based on the directions as well as what is best for your body. I always take what is advised on the bottle. If I plan to increase my dosage I do so slowly (maybe after 5-7 days) monitoring how my body responds. I hope this helps and thanks for the compliment on the site!

Hi Dawn, I’ve been following your site for some time now and it has provided me with so much great insight and information. I’ve been struggling with hormonal acne for a year now, and realized my biggest triggers are stress and dairy. I do think I am also dealing with hormonal imbalance, which resulted in the constant flare ups. Did you consult with a doctor before using Estroblock? Just curious.

    Hi Dawn Michelle,

I love your blog, thank you for sharing all of your wonderful tips and experiences with living a healthy balanced and natural life! I wanted to ask how long you were taking the Estroblock pro before you noticed that your acne stopped forming altogether? I have been taking this supplement myself; thought it was helping, then stopped for some reason and have recently restarted it. I understand it can take the body a while to detox, but would love to hear what your experience was in terms of timing. Thank you!

      Hi Julia,
I honestly don’t remember an exact amount of time in which I saw improvement, yet I stopped getting large pimples along my jawline and chin when I started using Estroblock. Still Estroblock wasn’t the only method that I used to heal my skin. I’ve been doing detoxes, eliminating foods and drinks packaged in plastic, and eating very clean. I make pretty much everything I eat from scratch and only eat out on occasion. Eliminating stress as much as possible or balancing stress with relaxing activities such as yoga also helped me. It takes time and patience to heal your body, so don’t give up finding all of the avenues that work for you. It will never be just one thing. Best wishes!

    Hello,
I was wondering if you ever had your hormones checked before taking Estroblock, or during? I ask because I’ve gotten my hormones checked and my testosterone is very high with low estrogen and progesterone levels. It seems then that I am not a suitable candidate for Estroblock (according to my research). But I still wonder if it would help. Have you heard of Estroblock helping anyone with a similar constitution?
    Thank you!!!

      Hi Christy,
No I didn’t have my hormones checked but I still had hormonal acne which usually comes around your moon cycle and is also along the jawline and chin. If you know that your hormones are very imbalanced working with a naturopathic doctor would be helpful to you. If you intuitively are led to also try Estroblock then go for it as well. Estroblock will help to remove “bad estrogens” from your body which is always helpful in my opinion. I hope this helps some.

    Hi Dawn,

Do you know how this supplement works in combination with birth control? I currently take BC in pill form with a more balanced estrogen/progesterone level than I did before because I researched that this would help balance out skin more or less. If this supplement is natural, do you know how that would affect me taking the birth control?

On a side note, love your blog!! I’ve been perusing your posts for the past few days and have started trying out the linoleic oil only method recently, so we’ll see what happens 🙂

    Have a good day!

      Hi Tanya Maslyanko,
I honestly don’t know. (Update… Estroblock actually will not effect the results of birth control yet on their website it is advised to take with birth control as it still removes the effects of “bad estrogens”.) I don’t take any prescription medications. You should ask your doctor to have clarity on this. I’m thrilled you are enjoying the blog too!

    Hi!
I was hoping you could help me!
I’ve been using oatmeal for as long as I can remember, probably 6 years. Ive had perfect skin, not one break out..I recently switched to a face wash, I heard the brand was good..anyways it has been a month and it completely broke me out. I switched because the oatmeal got a bit messy, but I wish I just stayed on it! My acne seems to only be in the area of my chin, which I know is hormonal. I switched back to oatmeal as soon as I saw the change. But it keeps on getting bad! Do you think I should try this out? Or try another method? I’m on birth control. I’m not sure why I’m breaking out this bad. I know I changed skin care products..but still! Please help!

      Hi Jen,
Estroblock will definitely help with hormonal acne, and it is good that you switched back to just washing your face with oatmeal again. The acid mantle of your skin was irritated by whatever product you were using. It can take a month for your skin to acclimate again. Be patient with this process and continue to eat whole foods, drink plenty of water, sleep well, and exercise. Also try not to focus on the blemishes and stress about them. With everything in place your skin will heal especially since it sounds like contact dermatitis.
      Best wishes!

Hi!! Do you take any probiotics as well? I’m thinking of trying this. I recently had my acne flair up out of nowhere all over my forehead, a little on my cheek and jawline..I’m thinking it’s stress induced/hormonal. I hadn’t changed any of my skincare or diet..I eat really healthy, drink lots of water and haven’t had a problem w/ dairy or gluten to my knowledge ( I rarely eat/drink both of those).

      Hi Alexia,
I have taken probiotics when my naturopathic doctor recommends it for me. Also try completely eliminating gluten and dairy for at least a month then slowly reintroducing into your diet to see how your body reacts. It is also helpful to have a naturopathic, Ayurvedic, or other natural based doctor check you for imbalances etc. It can be challenging to try and figure everything out yourself, yet it still is extremely important to learn to listen to your body. No one knows what it really feels like but you. Also this article helps share how I’ve gotten much better understanding of food and nutrition. Best wishes!

Feels like every other blogger that talks about healing acne in a healthy way/ with oils etc is also taking this supplement… How much of your healing do you think was due to the natural & healthy living and how much is actually relying on this product? trying to do some research about how necessary it is to take it and if one could “cure” acne without it (or being on the pill). Thank you!

      Hi Clara,
If you have hormonal acne Estroblock can be helpful in the healing process. I have used various methods to heal the imbalances in my body mainly with diet. I never relied solely on any supplement. Everyone’s journey is going to be different as everyone’s imbalances are uniquely their own. Using high linoleic oils has proven for me to be very effective as well, but my main focus has always been healing my imbalances from the inside out and with foods. I shared more on this here and here. I hope this helps!

I usually have 1-2 painful deep pimples before my period. I discovered a few years ago that zinc cream helps a lot. In North america they sell it a diaper rush solution. After might usual night cleansing, I use half of a pea size of the cream on pimple, cover it with band aid and go to bed. In the morning, the imple usually disappears. If not, I repeat it the next night and it’s for sure gone the next morning. This is a great solution if you have just 1-2 pimples each month.

This reflects in the appearance of my skin. If you are on a healing journey, I don’t feel as if you will need to be dependent on any supplement or skin care product for the rest of your life. Hi Dawn – First, thank you for this site and your honest discussion of what has and has not worked for you! If you had told me a year ago I’d be washing my face with oil I would have told you to readjust your tinfoil hat. But alas, here I am. After venturing down the K-beauty rabbit hole with double cleansing and 467 other steps, I was looking to simplify and found your page on high linoleic oils. Thus far hemp seed oil has worked the best for me. But I still struggle with the jawline/hormonal acne. I purchased a DIM supplement to try – EstroBlock was back-ordered so I went with another brand. I am wondering if you (or any of your lovely and insightful readers) had issues with headaches when they started it? Or notice any major shift in their cycle (like 3 rather than 4 weeks, unusual mood changes, etc.)? I had this occur and then stopped the supplement when I went on vacation. I’m not sure if these were a fluke, a result of the different brand, or simply an adjustment period I needed to push passed but I would love any feedback you could offer before I give it another go! Thanks in advance!

I would highly suggest seeing a naturopathic doctor to have your hormones checked and see what can be done to help you find balance within your body. I simply juice 2 WHOLE medium/large APPLES (3 small apples pictured) + 3 CLOVES of GARLIC in a slow masticating juicer for one immune boosting serving. Yes I do include the core as it has many health benefits. 🍎

After having my 1st official winter back on the east coast last year, RAW GARLIC was how I made it through without getting sick at all while caring for sick family members. 🍎

Since then I juice garlic in many of my juice recipes or mince up multiple cloves as dinner toppings for chickpea pasta, beans and rice bowls, and stews. What I LOVE most of all is hearing my son say, “More Juice?” Proud Mama!!!! 🍎

I started wearing linen clothing because it’s ex I started wearing linen clothing because it’s extremely practical. Linen is one of the most environmentally friendly fabrics on the market. Linen is also considered the world’s strongest natural fabric. After tiring of purchasing new clothing every season for my heavily worn small capsule wardrobe, it just made sense to look for mid and heavy weight linen garments that could be worn year round and layered that actually lasted.

Linen clothing can last up to 2-3 decades if properly cared for. I’ve made some mistakes along the way, but have finally found a simple method for caring for my linen garments. (Link in profile.)

I stopped using henna, I tossed my comb and brush, I stopped using henna, I tossed my comb and brush, I wear hair buns 95% of the time, and my hair care routine only got simpler with only two “products”. All the details plus why I really cut my hair last spring on the blog. Much love! #minimalistbeauty #curlyhairroutine #naturalhaircare
With limited access to the usual summer activities With limited access to the usual summer activities it has been a HUGE blessing to spend time in nature. Humidity and all, moving to North Carolina has been awesome in so many ways. Going to the lake has been my son’s favorite thing to do. The ducks are so used to being fed that, although misleading, throwing rocks in the water just brings them closer. Also so you know I just posted an article on how I modified some modest tunics for $1 like the one in the previous picture. The article is linked above. I hope all of you are having a blessed day.
