It is insanely hot this time of year in the desert. Regardless we decided to take a road trip to the Coachella Valley for my husband’s birthday this week. Despite the heat, there is nothing more magical than quiet evenings and crystal clear night skies, or the vast terrain of pink cactus, desert sand, and breathtaking mountain ranges everywhere you look.
We chose an Airbnb in Desert Hot Springs, California and also visited Palm Springs and Joshua Tree on this trip. These photos today are primarily from Desert Hot Springs including Cabot’s Pueblo Museum and gift shop. Sometimes you truly need to get away from your life and take in a new view. Heading to the Coachella Valley was perfect for just that. This was a much needed trip!

How hot was it? And, how was your Airbnb experience?
Turquoise in all it’s hues and textures really speak to me.
Thank you for this series. Good idea to get away for new perspectives.
