I can sometimes get bored with the usual salad that I make. This past weekend I decided to change things up and try something new. I usually make my salad with organic kale and organic spinach as the base. This time I chose organic cilantro and organic baby bok choy. Cilantro is one of my favorite greens as it is so healing for the body. It pulls heavy metals out of the body and aids with detoxing. You can find one of my detoxifying smoothie recipes with cilantro here.
What you will need:
2 bunches of Organic Cilantro diced
5 bunches of Organic Baby Bok Choy sliced
4 Organic Carrots shredded
5 Organic Persian Cucumbers sliced
1 1/2 cups of Organic Cherry Tomatoes cut in halves
3/4 cup of Organic Raisins
3/4 cup of Toasted Sunflower Seeds
Once all of the organic produced is washed, sliced, diced, and shredded, combine all of the ingredients and toss them together. I used a potato peeler to shred the carrots just so you know. A quick tip for cleaning your produce quickly and with ease it to use the DIY Multipurpose Household Cleaner. It contains water, baking soda, vinegar, and essential oils, all ingredients that I’m good with cleaning my fruits and veggies. This simple cleaner is truly versatile!
Now I’d love to say that I always make my own organic salad dressings from scratch too, but I am not always in the mood. This time I used one of my favorite dressings instead. Bragg Organic Ginger & Sesame Salad Dressing contains simple ingredients, has no added sweeteners, and is gluten free.
This salad is great on it own (have multiple servings of course), can be added to another favorite dish, or even served for breakfast with an omelet. It’s important to get a variety of whole organic foods into your diet as much as possible for amazing health and radiant beauty from within. Having fun with it and bringing as much color into your meals as possible makes it even more enjoyable.
Let me know if you give this one a try!

Yum. This sounds good. I’ve been experimenting with putting raisins, pecans, blue cheese and sun dried tomatoes in my salad. I’ll try your recipe out; haven’t tried Braag dressing. Thanks for sharing this recipe.

Miam its colorful and looks yummi, would love to try this dressing. I use the ACV from this brand :-). I haven’t try bok choy as well, how does it taste?
Dawn Michelle says
Hi Norma,
Baby bok choy tastes fresh and light similarly to green cabbage without the super crunchiness, yet with a very slight bitterness. It’s kind of difficult to describe, but in combination with all of the other ingredients in this salad is an amazing combination.

Sorry just another question, do you use the multipurpose cleaner on the veggies? Are the essential oils and hydrogen peroxide safe if ingest?
Dawn Michelle says
Hi Norma,
I use the DIY Multipurpose Cleanser that contains water, vinegar, baking soda and essential oils not the cleansing scrub recipe. After I spritz the veggies thoroughly, I rinse them with water before preparing them for a salad or other dish. <3
