My definition of a minimalist lifestyle is decluttering, living with less, using non-toxic beauty products, and creating an overall eco-friendly lifestyle that supports the planet. One of the most challenging aspects of this lifestyle for me is doing less. I am a very motivated, goal oriented woman who sometimes behaves like a multitasking machine versus a human who deserves a nap every now and then.
I’m learning the importance of being still daily while making that a priority over the to-do list. Whenever I am still, I am able to receive the clarity that I need to accomplish my tasks better, as well as make new and better choices. Plus it feels good to take time off and not do anything!
I’ve written two articles relating to this very topic. One is Minimizing The “To-Do” List and the other is The Beauty Of Doing Less. Today is one of those days that I need to take my own advice. Although today is a very short Minimalist Beauty entry, there is always Friday.
When do you know that it is time to take a break? What is your favorite way to relax?

I like your definition of minimalism. 🙂 Usually, minimalist bloggers don’t include non-toxic beauty products. They just use whatever is most convenient.

Your post was a breath of fresh air for me and such a great reminder of what it means to be a minimalist!! I strive to eat local and organic foods, but now I’m realizing that what I put in my hair is just as important!! I’m also starting to ride my bike more as a means of transportation and leaving my car in the driveway. You’re right, we really can be happier and live with less. I’ve learned so much from you about how to take better care of my hair and am very grateful. Take care, Linda 🙂

Thanks so much for your comment Linda! Living with less has become more beautiful than I ever thought possible. I am also always striving to simplify further. Best wishes with everything!
