The summer is definitely the perfect time to squeeze in extra reading, and especially during holiday travel. This summer I’m reading a mix of simple living, decluttering, and ecofriendly books, refreshing and humorous essays, as well as two women’s memoirs. I’m half way done reading these books, and I am truly loving the experience.

Marie Kondo’s book changed my life. Still clearing the mess out but feeling a lot better about it. I’m now reading a racy novel ha ha!

Same for me too Mia 😉

I recently finished Eat, Pray, Love and just started the Tidying Up book!

Hi Becky Holston,
Sounds awesome! Both are amazing!

Currently I am reading All the Light We Cannot See and I think afterwards I want to read the Goldfinch. There’s nothing like a good fall cleaning and I hear such great things about Marie’s book, I might have to add that to my September reading.

Hi Davina,
I haven’t read either book. I especially love the title of the first though. Thanks for sharing!

I just finished reading “Eat, Pray, Love” and enjoyed it. I also just recently finished reading “It” by Stephen King. But to be fair I started that one months ago.

Hi Melanie,
Sounds good! My hubby loves Stephen King, but I can’t handle his intensity. Most of his books can count as three with how long they are!
Melanie says
I am currently reading “Wild” by Cheryl Strayed, and if you like “Eat, Pray, Love,” and would definitely recommend this one because so far I think the two authors are pretty similar, especially in their writing style.
Dawn Michelle says
Thanks Melanie for the suggestion! <3
