I prefer to travel extremely light. Whether it’s by plane or car, I tend to travel with just one bag, this bag specifically. Here’s my weekend getaway capsule from pieces in My Spring/Summer 2015 Capsule Wardrobe. If I were to add two other pieces to this mix, it would be a scarf and bathing suit. Neither of those pieces take up much room, and the scarf can function as a turban on that day where wind blown hair may not be as flattering, as a sarong, or to stay warm in air conditioning.
Many times we may think we need new clothing before going on a holiday, yet if we spent time creating a capsule wardrobe that season, most likely our favorite pieces would work divinely! I chose comfortable pieces that could be dressed up or down depending upon where we might go. One beautiful thing about the summer is that the attire is generally more casual anyway.
If you are curious, here’s a prime example of how I get away with just one bag traveling in the beauty department. I am using a few different cosmetics than shared there now, but you will see how I get by traveling light via airplane restrictions while still having everything that I need. One of the greatest things that I enjoy about traveling this way is that I never feel burdened by my things. Also keep in mind that the outfit that you wear on travel day gives you another clothing option once you arrive at your destination. This is just what is packed!
Do you enjoy traveling light?
