After posting my spring/summer capsule wardrobe last week, I still had one more “extra” item that I hadn’t altered to include. I had found this cute t-shirt by MODA International at a consignment shop in one of my favorite colors. I loved the asymmetrical cut in the front and also how it draped my body since it’s one size too large, yet something still just wasn’t right about it.
Somehow the sleeves seemed to be competing with how the shirt draped in the front. Here is another picture of this top tucked into black leather shorts, a recent upcycled/thrifted project. I thought that this top was somewhat cute as is, but not loved enough to keep in my capsule wardrobe. My simple remedy… I decided to remove the sleeves. This simple alteration really brought the silhouette of this top together.
In the summer I tend to wear more loose fitting clothing. I don’t pull out the skinny jeans until the fall. I decided to pair this raspberry colored top with Thrifted Eskandar grey silk/wool pants, black sandals, and a silver statement necklace. Summer casual has never been more comfortable!
