One reason many people don’t even think to shop for organic clothing is because they believe that it is either extremely boring or way too expensive. There are some really wonderful brands that create affordable organic apparel and Threads 4 Thought is one of them.
I came across Threads 4 Thought at Whole Foods. I was at first shocked by the prices of the clothing, then excited that I could replace my old tanks, t-shirts, and long sleeve tees with organic cotton for under $12. No matter how minimalist your wardrobe is, some things need to be replaced.
I also love all of the color options Threads 4 Thought provides, and that they make great hoodies, yoga pants, plus decorative and graphic tees as well. Their basic tees are 60% Organic Cotton and 40% Recycled Polyester. I love that the tees are super soft and have extremely flattering cuts. The material does not bead up with wear or washing like other brands that I loved at first and I rather not even wear to the gym. By layering, mixing with vintage styles, and the perfect accessories, these everyday basics can be added to your wardrobe in unique ways.
Threads 4 Thought can be found at their website and at Whole Foods. It is important to “vote” with your dollar. The more everyone supports organic apparel, food, cosmetics, cleaning supplies, and home goods the more society will focus on leaving behind the toxic chemicals that seem to be everywhere and in everything. Also, the price for organic goods will continually go down!
New styles coming this Spring 2011!
