I’ll always love maxi skirts and dresses no matter what the current trend is. The maxi is an absolute necessity for my minimalist wardrobe. I just feel so free in long flowy pieces. I found this teal skirt at a random Los Angeles boutique and is one of my favorites for the summer.
The first look was styled with a thrifted denim shirt, H&M tank, and Jeffrey Campbell booties. I kept the jewelry simple with a delicate Native American charm necklace yet strong silver and bronze cuff. Next the colors just popped with my plum DIY High Low Hem Skirt worn as a top and a statement turquoise and silver beaded necklace. I’m always amazed how a high messy bun can finish any look. Finally I wore this maxi with my favorite Sade tee, layered African beads, and some Asics high tops. I figured the more beads the better with this style. Beads add so much texture.
I’m so excited summer is finally here!

Love these looks! They are so effortless. I’m crazy about the jewelry especially those beads and the turquoise necklace!
