Paring a great jacket with a tee and slim fit trousers is one of my go-to “uniforms”. Fabulous layering pieces make your basics come to life effortlessly. I am all about not having to work too hard to look put together. I honestly would have never really understood my personal style without creating capsule wardrobes. It has been one of the benefits to my minimalist lifestyle journey.

Of course it feels wonderful to finally love everything in my closet, yet it feels even better to have released my past insatiable consumerism. I was definitely a former shopaholic. I really wanted to downsize my wardrobe even more this year, and I couldn’t be happier that I finally took the plunge.
There are a lot of benefits to having a smaller wardrobe!
The mindset of simple living creates beauty and freedom to every aspect of your life. Starting the minimalist lifestyle by downsizing your wardrobe is usually the easiest way to begin. Yet once you’ve minimized all of your possessions by only keeping what you use and love, a free-spirited lightness fills your home instead.
Living the minimalist lifestyle is choosing experiences over things. By doing this you discover your true essence while eliminating as many distractions in life as possible. Constantly shopping is definitely a huge distraction! Creating an even smaller capsule wardrobe has freed me even more.
All of these pieces are from My F/W 2015 & S/S 2016 Capsule Wardrobe. Check out other capsule wardrobe styling in my Lookbook.
