I use oil cleansing to remove makeup. Using oil as a makeup remover is the easiest method, and I have done it this way for years. I have also tried the oil cleansing method as a primary way to cleanse skin, but believe that it clogged my pores over time no matter how many times I steamed my skin and wiped it with a warm cloth. Now I always cleanse the skin after removing my makeup with rhassoul clay or another cleanser.
My favorite oil to use as a makeup remover is jojoba oil. I simply massage my face with oil, then take a wash cloth rung out with warm to hot water and gently wipe off the oil. I then cleanse and moisturize. This is a simple effective way to remove makeup and dirt without drying out or irritating delicate skin. It will easily remove even mascara.
Other oils to try are coconut oil, sunflower oil, camellia oil, and grapeseed oil.
