On those days I don’t want to do my hair, I throw on a hat. That’s why having at least two hats in my capsule wardrobe is crucial. Every once and a while I like to braid my hair up and tuck it away. The fro needs a serious rest sometimes!
I’ve had all of the pieces in this styled look for the last year except the Folli Follie Watch also seen here. A few of these items I’ve had a couple years before that, although I’ve never styled them together quite like this. It’s not always about what you have as much as it is about how the pieces are styled.

I am still working towards my zero waste journey just in case you are wondering. I think it is much easier transitioning to natural beauty care than a zero waste lifestyle. In essence I tossed all of my chemical beauty products years ago, and bought chemical-free replacements. Later on I started simplifying things and creating my own beauty care. With zero waste you are modifying how you live completely. It is a seriously eco conscious lifestyle.
There are also certain things (like stainless steel food containers for lunches/take out) that I’d like to invest in to make the zero waste lifestyle a bit easier. Instead of buying everything at one time, I’m purchasing items over an extended time. If you haven’t seen my zero waste bath and beauty products check it out. My zero waste beauty makeover was pretty easy along with creating my zero waste wardrobe since I simplified my beauty regimen, and I have been shopping secondhand for so many years. So the journey continues!
