I instantly fell in love with this skirt when I found it at one of my local thrift stores. I adore high waisted skirts even more than high waisted pants, but I do enjoy both. The only problem with this skirt was the original gaudy gold buttons that you can’t help but notice.
I honestly had to look past them to see the great silhouette of the skirt. These buttons took more effort removing than the average, but I plied them apart with some hard core scissors. Changing the buttons on this skirt changed everything! This is a simple yet very effective detail to modify on any garment that needs a minor face lift.
I love keeping my attire somewhat simple so that you actually see me more than my clothes. I’d rather not let anything be a distraction from this goal. But that’s just my own aesthetic.
