The spring represents new beginnings and refreshes my initial intentions I set in the new year. Finding new ways to express myself creatively is always at the top of my list. I’ve already started creating more photography outdoors for Minimalist Beauty which definitely gives more life than my previous setup. It certainly feels a lot more freeing than solely taking photos inside of our apartment!
Today’s lookbook is from My Fresh F/W 2015 & S/S 2016 Capsule Wardrobe. This wardrobe is actually my complete year round minimalist wardrobe that I am now maintaining with necessary updates twice a year. I’m also wearing the wide leg/flare jeans that I cropped after having them in my wardrobe for more than a few seasons.
It’s incredible how changing the silhouette of an older piece can make it feel entirely new again.
You may notice that this look is one of my style “uniforms”… a simple top, pants, and a jacket. I love my basics, yet I try to find them in unique shapes and silhouettes. This allows a more classic look to have a bit more flair. All of the pieces in this look are vintage or thrifted.
(Vintage Firenze black leather jacket, Thrifted Theory cream tunic sweater, Thrifted/Cropped JBrand wide leg jeans, Vintage black snakeskin clutch, Thrifted Frye black boots, sterling silver & turquoise bracelet + silver bangles-gifts)
Lastly I was recently titled one of the Top 50 Green Market Movers of 2016 by Green Match. Minimalist Beauty was specifically awarded as one of the Top 10 Sustainable Fashion Pioneers. It always feels amazing to be acknowledged for sharing something that I love and feel passionate about. Fashion is a huge part of how we present ourselves to the world. Being stylish and eco-friendly is date sweetened icing on the gluten-free cake!
