I love fashion and beauty, yet am also a minimalist. I'm a professional dancer and model and have been a part of the entertainment industry for years. I've also worked in one of the largest beauty retailers as a consultant. Minimalist Beauty is a lifestyle of simplicity, freedom from clutter and the unnecessary, using organic and natural beauty products free of any chemical or toxic preservatives, and spending more time doing what you absolutely love most. Minimalist Beauty is my journey of thoughts, inspirations, and lessons creating a life of simplicity and therefore more artistic expression. I hope you enjoy!

Decluttering
I’ve always been a neat freak, yet moving in with my now husband in a one bedroom apartment was somewhat of a cluttered mess. He had the bulk of the furniture and electronics, and I had the miscellaneous stash of everything imaginable. I realize now that although my apartment always looked flawless when I lived alone, my miscellaneous items could no longer hide in the closets, which we did not have enough of in our new space.
I noticed that my consumerism for beauty products and clothing had been where most of my money was going. I wasn’t a product junkie, but I was spending way too much on beauty than I needed to. Becoming a Minimalist Beauty created space for me to reallocate my money to what was most important, and helped me to see that I always had more than enough to begin with. I was able to pay off $20,000 in debt with a new minimalist philosophy and create a new approach to simple effective beauty.
With dedication and consistent work, my hubby allowed me to get rid of half of the furniture to create the peaceful home we have now. I downsized my wardrobe to less than one third of what I used to have, and cleared out craft supplies, paperwork, books, beauty products, and anything else I could find to let go of. To see pictures see My Sweet Home.
Decluttering is a physical cleanse of materialism that somehow energetically makes room for more good to come into your life. You feel better and lighter, and it’s so great to come home to a relaxing space that you can smile upon entering.
