It was probably hard to imagine exactly how this wrap skirt would look on when I was sharing how I designed it. It is one of those pieces that doesn’t necessarily hold the best shape on the hanger. You can see my complete design process step by step here. Regardless I am so pleased with how it turned out. I love how this skirt works well for a casual spring/summer outfit, and just by changing the shoes can dress it up a bit more.
(Thrifted BCBG Max Azria salmon pink top, Cranberry Organic Cotton Wrap Skirt… my own S/S 2015 design, Niccolo Vacari tan/gold sandals, silver bracelet cuff–gift, Vintage Nine West black strappy heels)
I can’t even explain how much the experience of designing four of my own pieces for My Spring/Summer 2015 Capsule Wardrobe has changed me. It was such a rewarding process and the creativity involved was so much fun. At least that was when my sewing machine was behaving. I have a feeling I will definitely be designing more for future capsule wardrobes. Also more styling to share in my lookbook to come!
