I love fashion and beauty, yet am also a minimalist. I'm a professional dancer and model and have been a part of the entertainment industry for years. I've also worked in one of the largest beauty retailers as a consultant. Minimalist Beauty is a lifestyle of simplicity, freedom from clutter and the unnecessary, using organic and natural beauty products free of any chemical or toxic preservatives, and spending more time doing what you absolutely love most. Minimalist Beauty is my journey of thoughts, inspirations, and lessons creating a life of simplicity and therefore more artistic expression. I hope you enjoy!

DIY Natural Perfume–The Alcohol Based Method
One of the best reasons to create your own perfume is to have a custom blended fragrance that you adore as well as a toxic free perfume. I was disappointed to find out that a few of my fragrance oils may likely have a mix of natural and synthetic ingredients. The best natural fragrance ingredients are essential [...]
Formaldehyde What?
I was surprised to find out that nail polish, eyelash glue, and hair products contained formaldehyde. I guess I shouldn’t really be surprised since the cosmetic industry isn’t regulated. The good news is that there are companies that create wonderful cosmetics with some ethics and safe ingredients. Formaldehyde is a volatile organic compound (VOC). This colorless poisonous gas created by the oxidation [...]

Please Read Labels!
Someone was telling me today about this amazing body butter. So I looked the body butter up online, and of course immediately noticed it wasn’t a product that I would ever buy. It was filled with chemicals and it was evident that the person who recommended this product had not even looked at the ingredient [...]

Green Beauty Is The Best Beauty
One of the reasons I began this blog was to share all the knowledge that I do have from having worked in the beauty industry and my love for eco-friendly beauty products. In my article “Green” Up Your Beauty Routine, I list a bunch of product ingredients that should be avoided for your own health. [...]

“Green” Up Your Beauty Routine
Your skin is the largest organ of the body and it does not filter what we put on it. In fact it absorbs everything. If you can’t read, pronounce, or understand what is in your cosmetics, you shouldn’t even think about using it. Most women are so used to seeing the odd ingredients in shampoos, [...]
