I’m beginning to believe that simple clothing combinations are the best for my personal style. When I try too hard to make an outfit amazing it usually is a HUGE fail. This grey cashmere sweater, black pants, and ballet flats represents chic comfort. Adding a vintage leather jacket and large cuff bracelet gives simplicity just a bit of edge.

Now for a bit of curl talk… I think at least once a year I swear off styling my hair in wash and gos. I’m saying this curl pledge once again for the third or fourth time. I spent 2-3 days cutting out single strand knots and small tangles from my hair after my wash and go marathon which started in the spring and literally just ended. Braid outs never have my hair knotting up in a frenzy.
You’d think after all these years I would have learned my lesson, and taken my own advice for avoiding single strand knots. I guess we’ll see how long I go this time before I go back to wash and gos and then have to say this pledge again. Do any of you curly girls feel this love/hate towards wash and gos?
By the way… Happy Thanksgiving Beauties! Last year and this previous year, I wrote gratitude/beginning of the holiday season blogs. Today I’ll just say that despite life’s ups and downs, I’m grateful for hope, times of pure bliss, and the freedom to choose the life I truly desire despite all odds.
