I love fashion and beauty, yet am also a minimalist. I'm a professional dancer and model and have been a part of the entertainment industry for years. I've also worked in one of the largest beauty retailers as a consultant. Minimalist Beauty is a lifestyle of simplicity, freedom from clutter and the unnecessary, using organic and natural beauty products free of any chemical or toxic preservatives, and spending more time doing what you absolutely love most. Minimalist Beauty is my journey of thoughts, inspirations, and lessons creating a life of simplicity and therefore more artistic expression. I hope you enjoy!

My favorite article is the first one I read on this blog– “Simply Beautiful Skin.” Ever since reading that article I have thrown away all the chemical-laden facial products, and prescription tretinoin in exchange for manuka honey as a cleanser. I don’t use any oils yet (I have oily skin) but I will be introducing either tamanu or camelia oil once the weather gets drier. I am interested in the DIY toners as well but I want to introduce things slowly. I have been a daily reader and will continue to be…
My favorite article is “No Poo and Soap Free”. I have extremely sensitive, very acne prone skin and dry hair. Eliminating surfactants was exactly what I needed (I just didn’t know how, since natural soaps didn’t work for me, honey alone didn’t remove my make up, I didn’t know how to wash my hair, I didn’t know that ACV needed to be diluted an so on, with some disasters on the road – drums – enter lemon juice – LOL) That specific article inspired me to try and eliminate as many products as possible. And now that I am beginning to understand how natural ingredients need to be combined and how they work, I am more and more willing to find few ingredients that work for everything and I am very happy with the results. Thank you again
Fave article so far is “Long Wearing Natural Nail Color”, it was so surprising and easy enough, and because of how quickly my polish chips (before the end of the first day) I stopped polishing my fingers soon to be a life saver because I do love the look of polished nails. I love your approach to beauty, fashion and decor and I’m on a similar journey. Thanks for the inspiration.
I love “Minimalist Styling with Uniforms”. I love your ideas about wardrobe.
I recently decided to try to live a zero waste lifestyle, and for me, that means making my own beauty products. I was so happy and excited to stumble across your blog while looking for recipes for a face cream. Of the posts I’ve read so far, I love ‘The Beauty of Camellia Oil’. I need to figure out where to get some up here in the Great White North. Like Deirdre G., I’ve also found myself engrossed in your wardrobe posts, like the Minimalist Styling with Uniforms.
