Cacao has been named the “food of the gods” and I absolutely love it! It is one of the main ingredients that I use when I make my smoothies for breakfast. I also enjoy creating yummy face masks with it.
Cacao is very rich in mineral magnesium which aids the heart to pump blood effectively to the brain, heart, and organs protecting the body from heart disease. Cacao also lowers blood pressure and blood glucose levels, while building strong bones.
Cacao is a beauty food for its rich source of sulfur which develops healthy skin, nails, and hair, also containing one of the highest levels of antioxidants on the planet, exceeding red wine and green tea. Research shows that its abundant source of sulfur may assist detoxifying the liver and supporting healthy pancreas functioning.
Raw cacao is a natural aphrodisiac and antidepressant with rejuvenating anti-aging properties.
In a small bowl mix a teaspoon of raw cacao, a teaspoon of rhassoul clay, and two teaspoons of honey. Apply with your finger tips avoiding the eye area completely and leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse off completely and moisturize. This mask can be used 1-3 times a week.
Always use a plastic spoon when using any clay. You may want to be home alone when you use this mask. My husband won’t stop teasing when I do this mask. Yet the benefits are worth it!
Hemp Protein Powder
Frozen Organic Fruit
In your blender add 2 cups of almond milk first. Next add a tablespoon of spirulina, 4 tablespoons of cacao powder, and 4 tablespoons of hemp protein. Add one or two bananas next and about 1.5 cups of frozen fruit of your choice. I love using organic blueberries. Even organic mango is wonderful. Finally add 4-6 tablespoons of agave nectar. Blend thoroughly and enjoy!
