In line with my previous article Soften Hyperpigmentation Naturally, a review on the 100% Pure Pineapple Enzyme Facial Peel is the perfect follow up article.  There are so many chemical products on the market for anti-aging, age spots/hyperpigmentation reduction, and acne.  It is such a relief to know that there are some amazing natural products that will not pollute your body or create skin imbalance.

Many people are afraid of facial peels especially if you remember Samantha’s lobster looking appearance after getting a chemical peel on “Sex and The City.”  I still absolutely love her bold no matter what mentality, yet you wouldn’t have seen me leave the house if that had happened to me.  The 100% Pure Pineapple Enzyme Facial Peel is gentle enough for all skin types and is not a chemical acid peel.  I did not experience any intense tingling sensations or discomfort with this peel.  It simply smooths out the complexion leaving it clear and feeling wonderful instead.

Fruit enzyme peels are a much gentler way to exfoliate, brighten, smooth age spots and hyperpigmentation, while preventing acne and blemishes more so than facial scrubs.  I believe facial scrubs can be abrasive to skin which is why I personally prefer fruit enzyme peels.  The 100% Pure Pineapple Enzyme Facial Peel is an extremely effective, gentle, and enjoyable to use skin cocktail containing wonderful natural ingredients.

Ingredients: Kaolin Clay, Bromelain (Pineapple Enzyme), Papain (Papaya Enzyme), Pineapple Juice, Vitamin C (calcium ascorbate), Lemon Juice

Kaolin clay gently pulls out skin impurities, pineapple and papaya enzymes slough off dead skin cells while stimulating collagen production, pineapple and lemon juice brighten the skin, and added vitamin C is for that extra nutritious brightening punch. Naturally this mask leaves the skin glowing, fresh, and supple.

This facial peel comes in powder form which gives my inner mixtress extra options to make my at home facial super rewarding.  You can mix this facial peel with water, tea, fruit juice, or plain yogurt.  Adding water is the simplest method.  My absolute favorite is to use organic green tea for the antioxidant boost, or chamomile tea to soothe and calm the skin.  By using plain yogurt you are adding lactic acid to your peel with gives the mask the ultimate exfoliating results!

I like to do my spa facials once a week or sometimes twice a week if my skin needs an extra boost.  I’ll start by gently cleansing the skin with a mix of rhassoul clay and raw honey.  I then follow with steaming my face with a face cloth that has been wrung out from running under extra warm to mildly hot water.  I then apply the 100% Pure Pineapple Enzyme Facial Peel and leave on for about 5-15 minutes.  I keep a spray bottle full of rose water or purified water close by to keep the mask moist and spritz if needed.  I finally gently massage the facial peel with another clean wet face cloth, and rinse my skin with running water.  I follow up with a herbal infused oil that I make, or the 100% Pure Nourishing Facial Oil and the 100% Pure Coffee Bean Eye Cream both with a review to come.

I love being able to trust the ingredients in 100% Pure products as they truly are pure!  There are never any synthetic fillers, chemical fragrances, or nasty preservatives.  I have an intense cosmetic ingredients to avoid list and every product from 100% Pure meets my healthy skin care requirements.  To learn more about 100% Pure products check out their website.  You can also find this amazing peel here and here.  I have more 100% Pure product reviews to come, and be sure to check out the previous reviews that I have done already.

    Have a wonderful week!

Im a preteen with those annoying skin problems. I have a little bit of acne and I have a LOT of little black marks on my face because of it. Also, for whatever reason, my face is a lot darker than the rest of me. Can you please make an article about this or at least reply to my comment. Your help would be very appreciated.

    Hi Athena,

Thanks for your comment! I’m going to suggest a very simple skin care regimen that you can find in the article Skin Care First, Makeup Second. I’d use raw honey to cleanse and pure aloe vera juice or gel as your toner with a few drops of jojoba oil for your moisturizer. If you can get your hands on rhassoul clay that will also help with brightening and gentle exfoliation when mixed with raw honey. You may also want to try the Brightening Mask (also in that article) which is a very simple DIY recipe with ingredients that you most likely already have at home to help soften and fade any pigmentation. You may also find the information in Soften Hyperpigmentation Naturally helpful.

Develop a simple skin care regimen and stick to it. Keep your hands off your face during the day, and avoid foundations completely to let your skin breath. I give a few options for a DIY Translucent Face Powder that will help with oily or shiny skin and not break you out. I’m not sure if you’ve gotten into wearing makeup, yet if you are allowed to wear it, keep it to a minimum and also make sure that you do not use old cosmetics as they harvest bacteria which will not help you skin to heal. Also know that sodas and processed foods will not help your skin improve nor really nourish your body. Home cooked and whole foods are your best option. Let me know what you try out and how it is working for you.

    Best Wishes,
    Dawn Michelle
