Last month I received a beautiful package of goodies from 100% Pure to try and test out to share with you. I’ve already been a big fan of their products prior to writing this blog. My first love was their Vanilla Bean Body Lotion before it was repackaged as the Vanilla Bean Body Cream.
I mentioned here that my husband loved this lotion so much that he used mine up! I was so upset at the time, but now buy him his own 100% Pure Body Cream twice a year as a gift. After trying more 100% Pure products and discovering the amazing quality of the 100% Pure Fruit Pigmented Tinted Moisturizer and Cocoa Pigmented Bronzer, I jumped on the opportunity to test more their products.
One of the main benefits with 100% Pure products are the carefully selected antioxidant ingredients, refreshing and beautiful natural scents, and that the makeup is luxuriously designed without iron oxides or synthetic colors.
I’ve used iron oxides when making my own foundation, yet on the Cosmetic Database, iron oxides are rated as a 2 in toxicity. On a scale of 0-10, it is pretty low, yet some may be a concerned even though there is limited available research. Not to worry especially since there is an outstanding line of quality cosmetics that are strictly fruit pigmented stocked with antioxidant nourishing ingredients.
Finally the review! I’ve tried a good amount of natural mascaras. I’ve even tried to force myself to be happy with a few of them because I knew that they were better for my health.
If you are a mascara lover looking for a clean toxic free mascara that gives results, this is the best natural mascara that I’ve used so far.
Ingredients: Organic Green Tea, Vitamin E (a-tocopherol), Honey Beeswax, Contains All or some of the following Pigments: Blackberry, Blueberry, Black Tea, Grape Skin, Pomegranate, Acai Berry, Boysenberry, Blackcurrant and Raspberry, Oat Protein, Wheat Protein, Provitamin B5, Seaweed Powder, Coconut Stearic acid, Mica (for shimmer in the Blackberry and Blueberry), Cocoa Butter, Pearl Powder, Rice Powder, Cacao Powder and Powdered Coffee Beans, Lavender Honey, Extracts of Oregano, Thyme, Rosemary, Lavender and Golden Seal
My lashes are naturally thin and sparse and can sometimes be weighed down by mascaras with heavy formulas. With the 100% Pure Mascara in Black Tea, my lashes were lengthened, thickened, and super black which I love.
This is the first buildable natural mascara that I’ve ever used. It is necessary for me to put two to three coats of mascara on to achieve the results that I like, and it is easy to do with this product. The brush applicator has a ton of tiny bristles and dips a bit in the center. It is even easy to apply mascara to my extremely sparse lower lashes.
In terms of long wear this mascara stays put. I’ve had no issues wearing it while sweating in dance classes, and have not seen any funny black flakes on my cheeks. It doesn’t seem to be a curling mascara without the help of a lash curler. I’ve maintained longer curled lashes when I used this mascara with a lash curler.
The ingredients are so unbelievably rich, and I’ve never seen such a combination in any mascara before. This product also conditions the lashes, and is actually good for your lashes. Another major bonus of 100% Pure Fruit Pigmented Mascara is the natural scent. It smells like berries!
When has any mascara naturally smelled like berries and not because of toxic fragrance?
My final appreciation for this product is with the beautiful packaging. If anyone has ever seen how beautifully packaged other commercial cosmetics can be, you will also appreciate that 100% Pure Cosmetics also has beautiful packaging with toxic free ingredients. Beautiful natural lashes here we come!
